Your Next Move!

Outstanding Residential Living

You’ve heard good things about us from your friends who live here. As you start your own senior living plans and research communities to determine which one meets your expectations, you will find that Cross Keys Village is ideally positioned.

We are at the forefront when it comes to offering older adults an environment that incorporates the latest safety features, such as enhanced ventilation and bacteriostatic air filtration. Furthermore, our Life Enrichment program is expanding significantly as we take advantage of our new gathering spaces. All the while, villagers know that our wide range of supportive services, Cross Keys @ Home, is available if ever needed in the future.

Onsite Solutions if Needed

Some years ago, Cross Keys Village adopted a philosophy of aging in the preferred place, updating the traditional Continuing Care model which favored transitions as residents aged, from larger residence to apartment, then to Personal Care, and finally to Health Care – depending on an individual’s needs. Such transitions still occur, but less often and later in life thanks to a thorough portfolio of residential services that we have labeled Cross Keys @ Home. We offer our villagers the assistance of full-time licensed nurses and skilled social workers, devoted only to Residential Living care, and who are thoroughly familiar with life in our cottages, apartments and homes.

See for Yourself!

We are glad to offer small group tours of the Harmony Ridge community center on a regular schedule. Your guides will be current villagers with first-hand experience of life at Cross Keys Village. You will get a chance to discover our common areas, including our Wellness Studio and Cardio Room, the expanded Harmony Café, and the Avenue of the Arts and the spaces along which it meanders: the Gathering and Billiards Room, the Art Education Studio, and our impressive Theater/Classroom while your guides answer questions about villager programs and everyday life in our community

Get on the List!

You may know the old saying: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now.” Well, the best time to join the wait list at Cross Keys Village is two years ago, and the second-best time is now. As you research communities, we recommend you pick one that is usually full or near-full. A high occupancy rate is a reliable sign that a community is financially secure and worthy of your trust. However, it also means that there seldom are empty apartments “waiting for you.” Our wait list is a clear and fair system that helps us determine who to call when an apartment or a cottage becomes available. Currently most of our floor plans are on the wait list. The “depth” of the wait list depends on the model under consideration. Once you get to the top of the wait list, how soon you decide to move will be up to you.

Still a Seller’s Market

Most of the retirees who join our Residential Living program move to our community from a house that they own, often “free and clear.” Rather than dipping into retirement accounts and incurring capital gain by doing so, they use the proceeds from the sale of their house to finance their move. The sale of the house becomes a central piece of the whole operation. What a relief it is to see that houses throughout our region and beyond are still selling quickly. It is predicted that robust sales of existing homes, due to a limited inventory of listings, will extend the current seller’s market into 2024 and beyond. This trend will help you and our retirement counselors devise a smooth plan to move to your perfect new home at Cross Keys Village.
