Buying Friends Shopping Cards is a gift to the CKV Good Samaritan Fund… at no cost to you.
Since 2017, the Friends of CKV have been participating in the RaiseRight fundraising through gift cards program. The shopping cards are a significant and “pain free” part of the Friends’ activities. Whether you are shopping at Giant, Weis, Walmart, or at over 700 other places, the Friends can get you the shopping card you need, at face value. The retailers contribute anywhere from 2% to 20% of the purchase price back to The Friends. (The Friends donate most of the “profit” to the Brethren Home Foundation.)
How Does it Work?
Most orders for cards at CKV are for Giant, Weis, Rite Aid or Walmart. If any of these three stores are part of your shopping routine, print an order form and return it to Dixie Schaefer’s mailbox, with a check made out to Friends of CKV. We generally have those cards on hand and we will deliver your cards to your mailbox within a week, often within a couple of days.
If you are looking for a less common card, please be aware that ShopWithScrip has 700 different cards that the Friends can order for you. Such cards are a special order and will take longer. The list also shows you the amount of the rebate we receive for the Friends, a whopping 16% for L. L. Bean, for instance.
