Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community is thrilled to share exciting news!
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) committee has officially approved Cross Keys Village as a state‑approved Nurse Aide Training Program. This milestone allows us to once again offer high‑quality, on‑campus training to individuals ready to launch or advance a career in healthcare.
This comprehensive 120‑hour NATCEP course blends engaging classroom instruction, hands‑on lab practice, and supervised clinical experience providing the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully complete the state competency exam and begin a meaningful career as a Nurse Aide.

Participants receive personalized instruction from experienced team members right here on our campus with no long commutes or waitlists – just convenient, career‑building education.
Welcoming our First Students
Our first training class kicked off on Monday, February 23, 2026, welcoming two outstanding students:
- Jennifer Petenbrink, a dedicated Personal Care Attendant who has been part of our community for seven years.
- Delaney Rivera, a Clinical Services Assistant who recently joined us through our new Pathway to CNA Program.
Classroom instruction is led by Laura Millhimes, Registered Nurse, a committed member of the Cross Keys Village team for 19 years. Following their classroom work, Jennifer and Delaney will partner with our nursing team in the Healthcare Center putting their new knowledge into practice and developing essential skills in resident care, communication, infection control, safety procedures, and professionalism.
Their journey will culminate in a final exam and graduation on March 20, 2026.
