Exceeding your Expectations

Cross Keys Village is the largest single-site nonprofit retirement community in Pennsylvania (5th largest in the U.S.). We have been enriching the lives of older adults since 1908 through a blend of compassionate care and innovative services. Our long-range financial stability enables us to offer the solid range of programs you would expect from a top-of-the-line village in Lancaster or Philadelphia… but at Adams County rates. The Village of Cross Keys offers an outstanding senior living portfolio of models including cottages, apartments, larger Bridgewater homes, and our unique Hearthside homes. Our expansive Harmony Ridge community center features spacious and well equipped wellness, dining, and creative arts spaces.

Bridgewater Landing

In early 2024, we introduced to members of our wait list the first new construction project at Cross Keys Village since we wrapped up the Hearthside homes. Bridgewater Landing homes will be situated around a large and scenic 3-acre water feature, making comfortable and unpretentious “lakeside living” a reality year-round. Kayaking, fishing, bird-watching, picnics, and stargazing with friends as the sun sets at the end of a beautiful day will be part of the Bridgewater Landing lifestyle.

Distinctive new floor plans have been designed for this expansion. A limited number of new homes will have unobstructed waterfront views. The first Bridgewater Landing homes will be ready for you in 2025.

Senior Living with a Purpose

Earlier than many communities offering independent living, Cross Keys Village realized that many older adults wish to unburden themselves of costly home maintenance and repairs, while still determined to stay active and to get up early at the start of each productive day. This is why we fill every season with countless choices: courses, classes, exercise, trips, groups, art, crafts, music, gardening, worship, and more volunteer opportunities than in any other retirement community.

Peace of Mind

Villagers who join our program in Residential Living (also known as Independent Living in other communities) lead physically, intellectually and spiritually stimulating lives, free of many burdens of late retirement such as the upkeep and maintenance of a home. In addition, they know that Cross Keys Village has a Plan-B in place for them should their physical or intellectual condition ever require it, with priority access to our Personal Care and Health Care Center on a short- or long-term basis. Cross Keys Village’s durable record of financial stability provides valuable peace of mind to the villagers who invest part of their life savings in the community.

Memory Care Excellence

Retirees move to a village like ours for a more fulfilled life, but also to be prepared for some of the “what-ifs” that come with a long life. One of those possibilities is some kind of neurocognitive disorder or dementia, a condition that will affect slightly more than one third of older Americans. Cross Keys Village offers memory care throughout its range of services, and has evolved into a premier provider of memory care services. Every team member on our campus receives ongoing Memory Care training, and our Brookside Memory Care residence is one of the crown jewels on our campus. Villagers living with the disease, or who care for someone who does, have access to focus groups, education sessions, and a wide range of resources.
