Administrative Assistant, Nursing Department - (Full-Time) - Works under general direction of Director of Nursing; independent judgment is required.  Assists the Director of Nursing with management of clerical personnel and interdepartmental operations.  Assist in the day-to-day operations of the nursing office that are consistent with the goals of the nursing department.  Plans and schedules own activities; ability to set priorities with minimum of supervision.  Scopes of job duties are complex and the quality of decisions made contributes to Resident and co-workers well being.  Must be proficient in organizational and communication skills to meet needs of Staff Members, Residents and visitors.  Access to confidential information and maintains confidentiality.  Is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer service. One to three years of related work experience.  Two year advance degree/certificate post secondary level education in related field.  Working knowledge of word processing, and medical terminology.  Opportunity to attend seminars or conferences to promote professional growth.  Access to PHI (Protected Health Information) will be based on Manager/Directors approval related to job responsibilities.

Cafe Cook - (Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) - Responsible for exercising the high standards set forth in the Cross Keys Village/The Brethren Home Community’s Core Values. Primary responsibilities include preparation of food items presentation of daily specials, soups, salads, deli items and desserts, with excellent presentation of all items to all customers following instruction from Cafe Supervisor. Uses designated portion and recording data needed for HACCP. Follow sanitation, infection control, and safety standards as specified by Campus Dining and regulatory agencies. Scope of job duties is of moderate complexity and the quality of work contributes to the nutritional/dietary well being of the Resident Establishes and maintains extraordinary customer service skills and practices set safety standards. Fundamental knowledge to read work related material and to follow direction. The scope of the job tasks requires the use of good customer service skills when interacting with Residents, Co-workers and any customers. Prior experience in quantity food production In a healthcare setting and PA Food Employee Certification is helpful.

Campus Dining - Dining Services Assistant - (Part-Time Evenings and days, Weekends and Holidays) - Responsible for exercising the high standards set forth in our Core Values. Work with other staff to set up, serve, and clean in Dining Room for dinner and supper.  Complete daily tasks as assigned by Dining Services Supervisors. Follows sanitation, infectious control, and safety standards as specified by regulatory agencies.   Prepare, assemble, serve, deliver and/or set up meals as assigned for the purpose of providing quality meals at established dietary/nutritional levels.  Cleans dishes, pots and pans, equipment and work areas of kitchen. Responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer service. Fundamental knowledge to read work related material and to follow direction.  The scope of the job tasks requires the use of good customer service skills when interacting with Residents, Co-workers and any customers.  Prior experience in dining service in a health care setting is helpful.  

Caregiver (Nursing Asst.) - (Part-Time, Full-Time, Float Pool and Weekend Option, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and 10:30 pm to 6:30 am) - Must be currently enrolled in the PA State Nurse Aide Registry. Administers basic nursing care for Residents in accordance with procedures and state/federal regulations. Completes appropriate records. Maintains safety and sanitation standards. Works under general direction of Care Leader. Work is routinely reviewed for soundness of judgment, adequacy and accuracy. Scope of job duties are complex and the quality of work contributes to Resident and co-worker safety and well-being. Care Giver must be proficient in basic nursing care to meet the Resident’s physical and emotional needs. Is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer service.

Care Leader (LPN and RN) - (LPN shifts are float pool and full time days; RN shifts are float pool, full time evenings and WOW) - Within the current and appropriate Nurse Practice Act, supervises and monitor the delivery of care by Caregivers according to resident care plans.  Assess resident for condition changes.  Monitor dining activities to identify concerns or changes in resident’s needs.  Respond to Caregivers request for assistance, correcting inappropriate or unsafe techniques.  Identify education needs for the Caregivers. Working knowledge in general nursing care acquired through practical or professional nurse program and licensure in Pennsylvania.  Licensed Staff Members are required to demonstrate CPR competencies. One to three years of previous work experience preferred.  Continuing education as required per Community standards and state/federal regulations and to enhance professional standing and growth.  Access to PHI (Protected Health Information) will be based on Director’s approval related to job responsibilities. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: Maintains Pennsylvania licensure as a professional registered nurse or practical nurse.   Purses educational courses (seminars), pertinent to responsibilities.   Maintains current CPR Competencies. Ability to lift/move/manipulate bedridden, handicapped, and wheelchair Residents and to evacuate Residents in time of disaster.  Must be available to work various shifts as assigned and to routinely work holidays and weekends.  Is required to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves and gown when performing procedures which may result in exposure to bio hazardous material.  Use of gait belt is required as part of appropriate required work attire.

Clinical Care Specialist II (RN) - (Full-Time, Days, Float Pool) - Displays initiative and demonstrates independent judgment in prioritizing responsibilities.  Coordinates and supervises Resident care; leads team members to maintain the highest level of Resident well-being.  Leads in the planning, implementation, and management of quality nursing care for Residents in accordance with Community standards and applicable State/Federal regulations.  Assists the Director of Nursing and the Assistant Director of Nursing with projects as assigned. Participates in the development and implementation of the Nursing Department’s philosophy, goals and objectives.  Responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer service.  Demonstrates exemplary role-modeling skills. Working knowledge in general nursing care acquired through practical or professional nurse program and licensure in Pennsylvania.  Licensed staff members are required to demonstrate CPR competencies. One to three years of previous work experience preferred.  Continuing education as required per Community standards and State/Federal regulations and to enhance professional standing and growth.  Access to Protected Health Information (PHI) will be based on approval related to job responsibilities. Housekeeper - (Part-Time, 30 hours per pay, rotating weekends and holidays ) - Cleaning of resident’s rooms as needed and maintaining all types of floors. Follow detailed instructions established by the state/federal regulations. Is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer service. Working knowledge of commercial cleaning and floor care as would be acquired through a minimum of 6 months experience or 2-3 years general cleaning experience. Proficient use of cleaning agents and in use/maintenance of equipment including floor burnishers, carpet extractors, vacuum cleaners.

Neighborhood Specialist, Campus Dining - (Part-Time, Rotating Weekends and Holidays) - Responsible for exercising the high standards set forth in the Cross Keys Village/The Brethren Home Community’s Core Values. Prepare/serve/deliver meals and/or set up and clean dishes, dining rooms and kitchen as assigned for the purpose of providing quality meals at established dietary/nutritional levels.  Additionally, perform assigned duties of cashier diet clerk and/or stock room clerk.  Follow specific, detailed department instructions, policies and procedures, including established sanitation and infectious control standards. The scope of the job duties is of moderate complexity and the quality of work contributes to the nutritional/dietary well being of the Resident.  Is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer service. Preferably experience in the area of expertise in which being considered. Experience in a health care facility preferred. Thorough knowledge of HACCP procedures and PA Dept. of Agriculture Sanitation Certification is helpful. Uniforms are required per the dress code of the Dining Services Department and The Home. Staff Members who are classified as full-time (30 to 37.5 hours per week, will have every other weekend off). Part-time Staff Members may be required to work three weekends out of four. Staff Members are required to work some holidays.

Server, Campus Inn - (Part-Time, Rotating Weekends and Holidays) - Responsible for exercising the high standards set forth in the Cross Keys Village/The Brethren Home Community’s Core Values, table setting, knowledge of the menu and how food items are prepared, proper table service techniques, suggestive selling, taking orders, bussing tables, inputting customer orders into the computerized register, and above all extraordinary customer service skills. Follows specific detailed instructions, policies and procedures, including sanitation and infectious control standards.  Maintain facility’s fire and safety standards.  Work under the direction of the Dining Room Manager. Work is routinely reviewed for adequacy, accuracy and quantity and level of customer service being delivered according to the Community’s Core Values. The scope of the job duties are of moderate complexity and the quality of work contributes to the satisfaction of the customers. Fundamental knowledge to read work related material and to follow direction is required. The scope of the job tasks requires the use of good customer service skills when interacting with Residents, Co-workers, and any customers. Uniforms are required per the dress code of the The Campus Inn.

Wellness/Fitness Technician - (Full-Time, Flexible Schedule) - Responsible for the directing, instructing, and training of frail to apparently healthy active aging individuals on land and in the aquatic environment.  Must demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to all adult participants, including the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify participant needs to provide the appropriate class modifications as needed.  Provide assistance in correct equipment usage and maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the Harvey S. Kline Wellness Center.  Maintain client data base using Wellness Center’s software system and perform other duties as requested. High School diploma or equivalent plus one year experience working with active aging clients in a customer service industry. Must feel comfortable teaching individuals within a one-to-one or group setting.  Wellness/fitness experience preferred; can demonstrate ability to properly use (and instruct proper usage of) fitness equipment; must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; must possess a current, valid American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Group Exercise Class instruction background, and Lifeguard training within 90 days of hire. The applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

The Human Resources Department is located near the main entrance to the Health Center Building and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
