Great weather and great turnout mark
49th Annual Chicken BBQ
They shopped.
They ate.
They listened to music.
They bid on auction items.
They looked at cars.
They ate again.
They had lots of fun.
“They” were in the thousands for this year’s Chicken Barbecue, Car Show & Auction, the 49th annual summer highlight event at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community. Cross Keys residents and villagers, team members, families and guests from near and far took part in the day’s activities
They did it for a good cause: the event raises thousands of dollars for the Good Samaritan Fund, which helps residents who can no longer pay their own way at Cross Keys. The Brethren Home Auxiliary stages the Barbecue, and more than 100 volunteers make it all work.
Two photographers – Dennis Hare and Ron Harris – captured the sights, and their work is displayed here in separate slide shows. Enjoy!
