‘Facing the Giants’ star Jason McLeod to speak March 21 at Cross Keys Village
Actor also has role in ‘Fireproof’
Jason McLeod, whose role in the inspirational film, “Facing the Giants,” touched countless viewers and changed his own life as well, will speak on Saturday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community.
Tickets for the second annual Good Samaritan Speaker Series event are on sale for $12 each from the Brethren Home Foundation Office, 717-624-5208 (ask for Cheryl). Proceeds help Cross Keys residents who can no longer afford the services they need.
In “Facing the Giants,” McLeod portrays football player Brock Kelley, the target of Coach Grant Taylor’s efforts to turn around the Shiloh Christian Academy Eagles – and the coach’s own life. The compelling story has made the film a family favorite. At Cross Keys, McLeod will tell how the film affected his life as well – once interested in a football-related career, he now plans to enter college ministry.
The actor was a Georgia Southern University student when the film was made, and he was active in the football chaplaincy program there. He also has participated in foreign mission trips.
He has a role in the new film, “Fireproof.”

Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford’s town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the U.S. 30 entrance at the northwest edge of campus. Ample free parking is available.
