CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA – Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community held its official groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 18, for the new Harmony Ridge West Apartments and Harvey S. Kline Wellness Center.

The 127,000-square-foot complex will include 56 new, premium apartments, an aquatic center and other fitness facilities, a café (with convenience items), beauty/barber shop, meeting and activity spaces, and more. Completion is scheduled for late 2008.

The groundbreaking ceremony featured key figures in the project wielding the traditional golden shovels to turn the first ceremonial spades of soil at the site, which is adjacent to the current Harmony Ridge East Apartments and Community Center.

Speakers included State Rep. Steven Nickol.

Preconstruction sales are underway for the apartments, with three of the 10 floor plans already “sold out,” and only a single unit remaining for others.

Parking for groundbreaking events – other than handicapped parking – will be at lots not adjacent to the site. Shuttle buses will be available.
