Support groups at Cross Keys available for caregivers and others in need
CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA - Several support groups meet regularly at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community and are available for caregivers and others who need help in dealing with particular circumstances.
The Alzheimer’s Family Support Group meets monthly, usually the first Friday of the month from 1:30-3 p.m., and provides speakers and other programs. Meetings are held in Heritage Lounge, located on the ground floor of the Health Care Center, near the main entrance.
The South Central PA Chapter Alzheimer’s Association sponsors the support group. For more information, contact Paulette Soergel at 717-624-5389.
Caregivers who feel overwhelmed, frustrated or stressed can share, network and learn from others at the Adult Day Services “Compassionate Friends” caregiver support group meeting, usually held the last Wednesday of the month, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Those meetings are held in the Adult Day Services building at 2 Village Drive (just inside the U. S. Highway 30 entrance to campus). Call Bev Redding at 717-624-5955 for more information.
