Singer-songwriter Jon Wikstrom to perform at Cross Keys Village, October 28
CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA Singer-songwriter Jon Wikstrom, whose singing and writing skills recall artists like James Taylor and Billy Joel, will perform a free, public concert at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 1:30 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse.
A Charleston, W.Va., native, Wikstrom was a Nashville songwriter for nearly eight years, but he has spent much of the remainder of his life in the Baltimore-Washington area, where he performs frequently. He recently opened for multi-Grammy-nominated Oleta Adams at the popular Birchmere; the performance was a sellout.
He returned to West Virginia to record his CD “Reckless Devotion,” which was produced by Ron Sowell of the Public Radio International program, “Mountain Stage.”
Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford’s town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the Route 30 entrance, which is at the northwest corner of the campus. Directional signage is available at other entrances. Ample free parking is available.
