Groundbreaking ceremony scheduled Oct. 18 for new apartments and wellness center
CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA - Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community will hold an official groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. for its new Harmony Ridge West Apartments and Harvey S. Kline Wellness Center.
The 127,000-square-foot complex will include 56 new, premium apartments, an aquatic center and other fitness facilities, a café (with convenience items), beauty/barber shop, meeting and activity spaces, and more. Completion is scheduled for late 2008.
The groundbreaking ceremony will feature key figures in the project wielding the traditional golden shovels to turn the first ceremonial spades of soil at the site, which is adjacent to the current Harmony Ridge East Apartments and Community Center. State Rep. Steven Nickol will join the group.
A reception will follow.
The Cross Keys Village Welcome Center, which is located across Harmony Drive from the construction site, will hold an open house beginning at 1 p.m. for anyone interested in the new apartments. Tours of the model apartment, located at the Welcome Center, will be available.
Preconstruction sales are underway for the apartments, with one of the 10 floor plans already "sold out," and only a single unit remaining for others.
Parking for groundbreaking events - other than handicapped parking - will be at lots not adjacent to the site. Shuttle buses will be available.
Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford's town circle.
