The Good Samaritan Fund was established in 1980 to help pay the cost of providing care to Residents with limited resources. While Medicare and Medicaid provide a part of the basic coverage a Resident needs, the funding falls short of the costs involved. It is frightening to elderly Residents when they see their carefully planned retirement savings dwindle and become depleted. The Good Samaritan Fund provides financial assistance for care needs of Residents who have exhausted their personal resources.
