Jazz guitarist Robert Banks to open
2010 Fine Arts Series March 13

Jazz guitarist Robert Banks will open the 2010 Fine Arts Series at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community with a free, public concert on Saturday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse.

Teacher, composer, author and virtuoso guitarist in a variety of styles, Banks has studied with the legendary George Benson and others, performed with many “name” groups and individuals, fronted several groups of his own, and played in the best known concert halls and clubs in New York City and elsewhere, including Pennsylvania, where he recently relocated.

His is the first of eight performances in this year’s series.

The second “concert” of the season will feature a theatrical performance, rather than music, when Philadelphia’s Dean Bennett brings his portrayal of Benjamin Franklin to Cross Keys on April 17.

The Brethren Home Auxiliary is pleased to present the Fine Arts Series. Anyone interested in the Auxiliary and this or any of its other activities may contact the Volunteer Services Office at Cross Keys (717-624-5227) for more information. The churches of the Southern District Church of the Brethren provide volunteers to escort Cross Keys Residents who need assistance to attend the performances.

Please note that seating for the performances is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis.

Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford’s town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the U.S. 30 entrance at the northwest edge of campus. Ample free parking is available.
