ANNUAL BUSINESS and WELLNESS EXPO – Tuesday, April 20
This is an opportunity for you to showcase your products and services to the more than 1,000 individuals associated with Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community. All types of businesses will benefit from this opportunity. This is our second combined business and wellness event to be held in our Nicarry Meetinghouse. We invite you to provide giveaways, samples and drawings for door prizes.

3RD ANNUAL BUTTERFLY RELEASE – Saturday, May 15
For the last two years families participated in honoring or memorializing a loved one by releasing a butterfly. This was very meaningful to the families who enjoyed watching the butterflies leave their containers and fly away. As a friend of Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community, you have an opportunity to share in this ministry to those in our care who come from all walks of life as well as those in our community.

50TH ANNUAL CHICKEN BARBEQUE – Saturday, August 21
This is our Community’s largest event, drawing crowds from the community at large, as well as others just passing through the crossroads of Routes 30 and 94. This year will be bigger and better as we celebrate 50 years of fun and tradition. Our Brethren Home Auxiliary members plan and organize this family-style event, which includes quilt, antique and craft auctions as well as children’s activities, a book sale, and many choices of crafts, food and entertainment. Corporate sponsorships vary due to the many opportunities.

FOUNDERS CLUB BANQUET – Saturday, November 6
The Founders Club is composed of individuals and corporations interested in supporting a Project-of-the-Year through membership or contributions. Members will again raise funds in 2010 for a special project that will improve the quality of life for our residents. Our speaker will be Chet McDoniel who was born with no arms and shortened legs. Despite his disabilities, Chet graduated magna cum from the University of North Texas and now owns his own travel agency. Chet has remained positive throughout his life and believes he has the secret to enjoying life to its fullest. He encourages audiences to choose to be happy and realize the incredible value of life, and he shares how to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.

CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS – Sunday, December 5

This is an annual event to remember those who made a difference in our lives and to pay tribute to them by lighting a candle in their memory or honor. Special entertainment will be presented. As tribute photos are displayed in the slide show, loved ones will light a candle in their honor or memory. This is an opportunity for the many individuals, families and stakeholders who have become part of our organization through admissions, marketing, or other venues to contribute to the Good Samaritan Fund, the fund to assist individuals who have depleted their financial resources.

Sponsorships and gifts made through these events are tax deductible. Pledges must be received 30 days in advance to ensure appropriate recognition.
