Organizations and Activities that Benefit from Auxiliary Support
The Good Samaritan Fund helps pay the cost of providing care to Residents with limited resources. While Medicare and Medicaid provide some of the basic coverage a Resident needs, the funding falls short of the costs involved. It is frightening to elderly Residents when they see their carefully planned retirement savings dwindle and become depleted. The Good Samaritan Fund provides financial assistance for care needs of Residents who have exhausted their personal resources. (click for more)
The Good Shepherd Fund provides financial assistance for housing and services in Cottages, Apartments and Assisted Living for qualified retired ministers, missionaries and other church workers and their spouses.
Brethren Home Community Education Assistance Program provides grants to employees seeking to participate in specialized courses or comparable activities offered by accredited providers and directly related to a health service career.
Fine Arts Programs provide on-campus cultural and social opportunities for the community (on campus and beyond). They also receive financial support from Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts and volunteer support from Southern District Church of the Brethren members.
Special Equipment Projects
Besides it ongoing priorities, the Auxiliary identifies one or more special projects each year that assist the operation and services at Cross Keys Village. The 2006 project was creation of a two-room suite in Assisted Living
