CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA Violinist Venona Detrick will join organist Shirley King for a performance of springtime music and scripture readings on Sunday, April 15, at 2 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community. The free, public concert is part of a series highlighting the rare, 137-year-old Jardine organ at Cross Keys. That instrument that has spent time on both coasts of the United Statesit once belonged to the University of Washington. The next performance in the series will be September 23. Southern Pennsylvania Church of the Brethren District Executive Joe Detrick and Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community President/CEO Vernon King will be the readers. They also are the featured musicians’ spouses. Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford’s town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the Route 30 entrance, which is at the northwest corner of the campus. Directional signage is available at other entrances. Ample free parking is available.
