CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA Characterized as “Central PA’s busiest Irish/Celtic band,” Cormorant’s Fancy will open the 2007 Fine Arts Concert Series at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community with a free, public concert on Saturday, March 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse. Cormorant’s Fancy has been called “a gifted band with a knack for gorgeous arrangements” by one reviewer. The Gettysburg-area group has been performing since 2003 and was the closing act for last year’s Adams County Irish Festival. “An Evening at the Fairfield Inn,” the group’s first CD, was released last spring. The band performs a variety of songs, accompanied on guitar, mountain dulcimer, bodhran, keyboards, whistles and other instruments. The performance is the first of eight in the 2007 Fine Arts Concert Series at Cross Keys. The next concert will feature the Hershey Handbell Ensemble on April 28. Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford’s town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the Route 30 entrance, which is at the northwest corner of the campus. Directional signage is available at other entrances. Ample free parking is available.
