CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA – Soprano Beatrice Gilbert will before a free, public concert of light opera and other selections on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. Gilbert, who appeared at Cross Keys in 2005 as featured vocalist with the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra, also has performed with the Capitol Opera Company and in an opera at York College. A native of Naples, Italy, who came to the United States as a child, she also counts a number of Italian-American festivals among her solo venues. She has studied at Peabody Conservatory and with a number of well-regarded performer-teachers and is currently working toward a music degree from York College. The Fine Arts Concert Series is supported by The Brethren Home Auxiliary. Tickets are not required for admission. Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford’s town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the Route 30 entrance, which is at the northwest corner of the campus. Directional signage is available at other entrances. Ample free parking is available.
