Jazz pianist Joe Holt to perform CROSS KEYS/NEW OXFORD, PA - Versatile pianist Joe Holt will perform a free, public concert of jazz standards on Saturday, May 19, at 7 p.m. in Nicarry Meetinghouse at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community. Holt, a popular figure in the Philadelphia area, performs hundreds of times each year - solo, with the Midiri Brothers Orchestra/Sextet, or accompanying singers from across the country. He also hosts a radio program in Philadelphia, and he's a music therapist. His numerous CDs include new releases of jazz and popular standards, Christmas favorites, and a trio recording with Joe and Paul Midiri. The Chestertown, Md., resident's radio broadcast is streamed live on his website, www.joeholtsnotes.com. The performance is part of the 2007 Fine Arts Concert Series at Cross Keys. The next of this year's eight concerts will feature singer-songwriter Jay Smar singing and playing old-time country and coal mining songs on June 21. Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community is located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and PA 94 (Cross Keys), less than two miles east of New Oxford's town circle. Nicarry Meetinghouse is best accessed via the Route 30 entrance, which is at the northwest corner of the campus. Directional signage is available at other entrances. Ample free parking is available.
